Lara takes an evidence-based, client-focused approach to goal-setting and training, drawing on both her Master’s degree in kinesiology as well as nearly a decade of experience as a personal trainer. Her mission as a coach is to guide her clients to feel like the best versions of themselves, and she has successfully worked with clients to achieve personal bests on their lifts, complete a set of push-ups for the very first time, implement mindfulness tools in their workouts and beyond, and cultivate greater feelings of body autonomy and self-efficacy. She specializes in guiding women, LGBTQIA+ folks, and anyone who has ever felt out of place in a traditional gym setting to feel strong and awesome in their bodies. Lara thinks of physical strength as an empowerment tool and hopes that her clients come away from each session feeling more capable and self-confident in all areas of their lives.
Lara has competed in both powerlifting and pole dancing, and currently trains and performs as an amateur aerialist. Her certifications include: ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Online Coach; Girls Gone Strong Level 1 Coach; Girls Gone Strong Pre/Postnatal Coach; 200HR yoga teacher from Seattle Yoga Arts.
